Maui’s housing market experienced similar trends in April and May, with both single-family and condominium sales declining compared to the same time last year, according to the latest data from the Realtors Association of Maui.
The analysis conducted by the Association using data collected from its Multiple Listing Service system shows the following statistics:

In April, the number of new listings for single-family homes declined by 9%, while new condo listings increased by 31% year over year. The median days on the market for both property types averaged 137 days.

In May, trends remained consistent. The number of new single-family home listings fell by 9.9%, while new condominium listings rose by 33.9% compared to the previous year. The median days on the market for both property types averaged 138 days.
“Maui’s housing market is fluctuating,” said RAM President Lynette Pendergast. “In April and May, single-family home sales declined year over year, but prices remained stable. We saw a 6.2% increase in April and a slight rise in May. Condominium sales dropped more noticeably, but the increase in new listings may provide more options for buyers.”
