Kalei’s Lahaina opens new location with familiar flavors

Beloved local favorite Kalei’s Lunchbox is proud to introduce its exciting new branch, Kalei’s Lahaina, bringing tastes and memories to the heart of Lahaina. This fresh new concept offers all the classic local grinds customers know and love — plus new blended flavors.
A grand opening launch celebration takes place on June 18 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and feature:
- Giveaways on the hour
- A live broadcast by KPOA 93.5
- Entertainment by Kaniala Masoe and more
While this location won’t be a traditional Lunchbox, it will offer a new café-style experience that stays true to the heart of Kalei’s. More than just ʻono local-style food, Kalei’s brings a sense of home, resilience, and reconnection to Lahaina. Known for bold island flavors, generous portions, and warm hospitality, Kalei’s aims to be a welcoming space where the community can come together and heal.

Kalei’s Lahiana will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., serving breakfast, lunch and dinner at it’s westside location: Lahaina Cannery Mall, 1221 Honoapiʻilani Hwy., Suite A-1.
The Lahaina location will feature:
- Menu favorites like Furikake Mochiko Chicken, Mahi Ala Kalei, and the iconic plate lunches
- New fusion specials, exclusive to Lahaina, inspired by both local and international flavors
- Limited-edition merchandise, including tees, hats, and eco-friendly lunch gear that celebrate Kalei’s roots and Lahainaluna pride
- Cheap Eats, a fan-favorite across all locations, offering a rotating $7 special item to keep the menu affordable for everyone.

At the heart of the new Lahaina location are Chef and Owner Aaron Kalei Heath, a proud Lahainaluna Boarder, and his wife Fran, whose deep roots in Lahaina continue to inspire every dish served.
“Coming back to Lahaina means everything,” says Fran. “This is where it all began for us — the flavors, the ʻohana, the grindz. We’re humbled to bring it full circle.”

Each Kalei’s Lunchbox location is designed with a unique theme: Pukalani’s theme is ‘ohana; Wailuku’s theme is hula; and Lahaina’s theme is Lei — a tribute to the aloha spirit and sense of connection woven into every plate.
